Stark White or Not?.... (via Made by Girl)

To me, a white home isn't STARK.....it's actually a blank canvas. I LOVE art... as many of you already know and having white walls just highlights colorful pieces that much better! Just imagine a large canvas, with gorgeous colors on a white wall....nice! Of course, that is my opinion. This home via Mixr takes me back to that ideal home that I dream about. 

So, how about you?? Are your home walls neutral, colorful or all white? Do you find this home to be too stark white?

Caitlin Wilson's Home Tour....

Interior Designer, Caitlin Wilson of Style Files blog was gracious enough to share her lovely home in Dubai with all of us!  I always LOVE to peek into homes of Interior Designers, it always inspires me.  They always have the best fabrics and furniture pieces.....it must be because they are able to access home furnishings that are only for the trade.... lucky them!

Alaina's Home Tour (Live Creating Yourself)

Hello everyone! How's your Monday so far?? It's been cloudy & sprinkling here in Las Vegas, definitely very unusual weather for this part of the country. However, this post below has made my day a little sunnier! I'm so excited to bring you this home tour by Alaina from Live Creating Yourself.  She has allowed me to share her cozy Chicago home with all of you!  Below she explains the details of her lovely living space.

"I've been collecting pieces for the past two years. The only store-bought, full-priced items my boyfriend and I bought that are not from IKEA are the vertical bookshelves in my office. They are from West Elm and no longer available. Same goes for the tree branch end table in the living room which is from Target and is available. The West Elm tripod lamp in the living room was a gift from a friend. The rug and sofa in the living room are ALSO from West Elm, but we bought them used on Craigslist. Other rugs are IKEA and the zebra rug in the bedroom was on sale at Pottery Barn."

Dining Room & Living Room:
The dining room chairs cost me $70 - I painted them grey and reupholstered them myself. The dining room table is an antique & cost only $50 - also CraigsList. The bar is IKEA Expedit.  


Most pillows and accessories are West Elm sale items with a few thrift store items thrown in the mix. The place settings are a mix of Williams-Sonoma Apilco Traditional and West Elm Pure Square.

OMG Where is this place?

I found these LOVELY photos of this amazing place and I saved it to my hard drive. However, I obviously forgot to attach a note as to where I found them. I believe this place is in London (not sure) so if anyone knows please leave a comment with the credit info. Now, back to this amazing interior.....I REALLY like the PINK background in the kitchen and the openness of the living area just draws me in! Don't you just love those gigantic mirrors?? Anyhow, this place reminds me of townhouse in New York City I visited once, I almost started drooling when I walked in....luckily I didn't or the owner would have wondered....LOL Enjoy!
