A 10 Year Old's Room by Giannetti Designs...(Via Made by Girl)

Brooke Giannetti over at Velvet & Linen blog has agreed to share her daughter, Leila's room with all of us. She designed this lovely girl's room with her daughter's growing tastes.  

She NO LONGER craves PINK, but more "mature" colors. (A true sign that your little girl is not growing up).  Brooke's daughter is now 10 years old and for Leila's B-day, mom told her she could re-decorate her room! 

WOW....I remember being 10 years old....I was STILL sharing a room with my little sister!! Leila is a lucky girl!

The design starts with a trip to Anthropologie where Leila chose a beautiful and colorful flowery rug!  I love the vintage feel of the room as well as the architectural details on the ceiling.

And...how about all that FRAMED artwork hanging on her wall??! How cool is that? I've always thought creative-type spaces (like this one) really open up a KIDS creative energy!

Honey Pie Design... (Via Made By Girl)

One of my favorite Etsy shops to visit is Honey Pie Design. I love this shop because of it's bright colors and usually anything with the word "LOVE" wins me over! Here's some info on how these colorful and decorative pillows are made:

 •Fabric is 100% cotton.
•Felt is eco felt made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
•Opening on back to remove insert.
•Pillow insert is hand-filled with cluster free poly-fil.

I'm always H-A-P-P-Y to hear when a product is made from recycled materials, a BIG plus! All these handmade are quite affordable and would look so amazing in a little girl's or little boy's room! 

Lana, the designer & gal who makes these lovelies at Honey Pie Design also offers customized pillows where you can place any name and fabric style available (see below). You can check out the custom pillow options  here.

Rainbow Cupcakes....Clever!

Even though we talk MOSTLY about Interior Design around here,  I love highlighting CREATIVE and innovative things! So, when Shari from Spearmint Baby introduced me to her rainbow cupcakes, I had to post it. Now, this is such a FUN & exciting recipe to put together with KIDS.....even though I don't have any, I'm certain my husband & I will enjoy trying this in our kitchen! Design Dazzle's bed crowns for KIDS....

Design Dazzle has a ton of really cute bed crowns for those parents who like to decorate their kids' rooms in a grand way! Take a look at the fun variety of colors they offer here. Quite an interesting collection, including the option of monograms. Nice!

Apple & Eve....

Apple & Eve makes all these gorgeous little cotton & linen animals. All handmade and finished off with colorful embroidery. These would make great gifts for children or even for your own decor.
