Trad Home

It seems that new online magazines are popping up everywhere these days but in this case, a traditional shelter publication is getting in on the act.  Traditional Home has just announced that it will partner with Lonny creators Michelle Adams and Patrick Cline to create Trad Home.  “This is a new gateway to expand the brand,” said Traditional Home editor in chief Ann Maine, while publisher Beth Brenner said the online magazine will reach out to the “next generation of design lovers.” Issues will be published online in May and September 2011, "with work that is completely original from Traditional Home and Lonny, although the latter site will share content on Trad Home and vice versa." 

This is very exciting news.  Often magazines have a back log of projects that might be waiting to appear in the magazine and others that while fabulous, might not be exactly right for publication.  Domino magazine was a great champion of younger designers and their closure has been greatly felt.  I think Trad Home will be a welcome addition to the online world and I can't wait to see the first issue!

New Issue....Lonny Mag (woo hoo)!

Aaaah it's Thursday.....only one more day until Friday! How has your week been so far??  I can't wait! I just want to sit out in the sun and relax! Today is super gorgeous outside, around 98 degrees, (big change from the 108 degree weather we've had lately). However, I'm feeling a little out of it.

New from Lonny Magazine....

Here's a great start to a new week with the newest issue of Lonny Magazine! In this issue we get a great look at Michelle's (editor in chief) new apartment! My favorite is the dining area! I've been wanting to re-upholster my current dining table chairs in a black & white STRIPED fabric and after seeing Michelle's I am sooo INSPIRED!  However, I would have to re-paint my chairs, they definitely need a bit of a PAINT face-lift.

If I'm feeling LAZY & don't want to take on the DIY, I can just buy the chairs ALREADY upholstered in a striped blk & white fabric directly from Ballard Designs.  Something to keep in mind...hmmm.  Ballard is great, I'm a big fan of their site, especially their chair collection. Lonny Magazine....Look out for it!

I swear, Lonny Magazine keeps getting better & better!  Forget those people who are going around saying it looks too much like Domino or it doesn't etc. Do we really need to put down Michelle''s efforts within this gorgeous online publication? With so many of the BIG magazines going out of business, I am so excited that someone like Michelle has brought us another example of great style! Thanks Michelle. Check out the latest issue here.

Lonny: Issue 2

The second issue of Lonny premiered today and I have to say that I think it's even better than the first and not just because I'm in it! I owe a big thanks to Michelle Adams for asking me to share my 10 favorite things and to Patrick Cline for taking my photo. And a big thank you goes out to my bachelorette client for letting us take it in her kitchen! Hope you enjoy it!

Lonny Magazine......woo hoo!

I admit, I didn't know what to expect when Michelle Adams of Rubie Green emailed me about Lonny Magazine. I thought it would be just another online magazine with like 20 pages. However, today, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it has close to 200 pages & very reminiscent of our beloved "Domino".....it was quite enjoyable flipping through the pages with my mouse!! I am now hooked & looking forward to the next issue! Also, thanks Michelle for including our new chevron cards in your premiere issue.
