Architect & Designer: Campion Platt...(Via Made By Girl)

Campion Platt is all over the place these days, especially with the launch of his book,  "Made To Order", which I have & love! He's an American architect living in NYC, and has designed homes for Al Pacino to Meg Ryan.  If you haven't seen what he looks like, he's quite the looker (no wonder he used to be a model way back when...) with a great tan & gorgeous salt & pepper hair.

I first fell in love with Campion's work when I noticed photos of his work online and immediately had to purchase the book (which is filled with a bunch of colorful interiors)!  In the book, Campion highlights his own home, which is full of color and bright pieces! My favorites are his kitchen & the drop dead gorgeous purple couch. His HOME has definitely inspired me.....

For those of YOU in NYC: Campion will be signing his new book at the D & D Building on January 11th 9:30-10:30am -at Cafe Astra in New York City!

NY Social Diary Interviews Sixx Design...

I know I've blogged about Sixx Design's husband & wife team before... but I wanted to direct you to this recent interview they did for New York Social Diary.  In the interview they highlight the art & furniture pieces throughout their home and even talk about how much they paid for their current townhouse in NY.  I can definitely see Cortney & Robert heading straight to the top & being a household name very soon! For more pics & to read the interview go to New York Social Diary for more.

Gerald Bland House Tour on New York Social Diary

I've been a little under the weather this week so I didn't get to write some of the posts I had originally planned. I hope to get caught up this weekend but until then, I encourage you to head over to New York Social Diary and check out the apartment of antique dealer Gerald Bland. I first met Gerald through Lizzie Bailey who you may remember from the fabulous bedroom she designed for the Hamptons Designer Showhouse this summer. She invited me up to see the Albert Hadley drawings they were selling. Gerald mixes modern and contemporary art with his antiques that makes everything look fresh and always makes me long for the day that I can afford to shop there for myself! Lizzie also used to work for Amanda Nisbet who is friends with Gerald and his wife Mita. It was at her cocktail party last year when I got to meet Mita Corsini Bland and find out that she is an amazing artist. Her beautiful watercolors illustrate the new book Sister Parish Design: On Decorating!

The best part of living in New York is all the wonderfully creative people that I get to meet and get to know. The Blands are a truly lovely couple and it was such a treat getting to peek into their art filled home. I encourage you to visit Gerald Bland Antiques the nest time you are uptown and you check out his "British" accent for yourself! Bon Weekend!

Georgia Tapert House Tour

You might remember that I profiled Georgia Tapert and her lovely home and store a few months ago. Well, now you can see more photos and read more about her interesting life on New York Social Diary. I love Georgia's home because it is uniquely personal and filled with items she found on her travels and pieces given to her by her mother that are now mixed with her fiance's furniture. Definitely check out the story and her fabulous shop Georgia Tapert Living the next time you are in Soho!

Turquoise inspired home ...

I L-O-V-E Polly Onet's home...she definitely has a thing for turquoise. Polly is a party planner based out of NYC, so she knows a thing or two about style. Very nicely put together don't you think? My favorites are the geometric patterned seat cushions & the disco ball....sooo cute! Hope you're inspired, enjoy.
