New Year...New Dining Table..(Via Made By Girl)

And.... we are back! Thanks to all of you who left comments as well as tweets & emails wishing me a Happy New Year! We went out to eat a steakhouse near the strip & then headed home at around 10:45pm to catch the fireworks from our upstairs balcony! Luckily we have a great view of the strip.
So, tell me how did you spend your New Year??

Also, our ZGallerie dining table finally arrived! We ordered it back in October & it had been on back order, but it is now here safe & sound...ready for some upcoming dinner parties! I shot these pics earlier today so you could see the progress. The table is a really solid piece but I warn you, it has a ton of screws...

In the meanwhile, I'll be SEARCHING for a dining room buffet piece. It'll end up going underneath the large black & white painting to sort of fill in the space.

I admit, I HAVE NO IDEA what type of buffet to get!

If anyone has any SUGGESTIONS on what type of buffet or color & so on, please feel free to comment.

Home Sweet Home.....(Via Made By Girl)

Hope everyone had a great weekend & thanks so much for the well wishes! My weekend was FULL of packing, lifting boxes and ACHES & pains all over my legs from walking back and forth so much during this move. Guess what?? we STILL aren't done! We have a few items to bring over & awaiting delivery of a few more things I've ordered online.

Moving is all SO exciting & overwhelming at the same time.  It's my 2nd day at the new place & I still don't have an internet connection...the cable companies never seem to get things right the first time, I swear!

Let me know when you think so far....

I'm posting this from another location so that I could update you all as to what is going on.  Below are some pics of what has been done so far, we still have lots of unpacking to do, but managed to get some lighting up!  I bought the Atoll mirror from Ballard Designs, a Barcelona Daybed (in white, yikes!) and this dining table from ZGallerie, but they haven't arrived yet....will take more pics when it's all here.

above: The painting on the wall was done by an artist friend as a gift, it is NOT an original!!!
The lamp to the right is by Philippe Starck....I love these floors!

above: Here's the DIY lamp we made, it's hanging high up in the foyer.

above: stuff still not put away or hung

above: kitchen with the Hicks Pendant lighting, the ceiling in this place is quite high, can you tell?
The cabinets doors will be changed out before the end of the year. They'll be ALL WHITE....thank God!!!

above: breakfast dining area.
The chairs will be painted white soon, can't stand how they look in light blue within this space.
The artwork on the wall is by Sister Corita called: "Happy Collage".

above: large rosary is from an antique shop in Texas.

Movin'....(Via Made By Girl)

Sooo, it looks like I'll be moving in a couple days & I'm looking forward to talking more about it soon (and posting pics).  I'll still be in the same state, just a different neighborhood. So, of course I've been decorating every room in my head....& it's a bit overwhelming at times.

The bedroom is one of the rooms that MUST be done first, so this is what I had in mind.  I KNOW I also need a dresser of some sort, but what should I get?? I kind of like a more ornate style dresser (all white), but would ornate work with these side tables/night stands?? Hmmm, I'll have to keep looking around ....

I can't wait to show you more....!!

My 6 Louis Chairs Arrived.....

My Louis chairs have arrived and even though you only see 4 here, there are 6 of them! I was just getting a feel of how they looked. Anyhow, I'll be deciding this week on what they'll look like. I'm SERIOUSLY leaning toward PAINTING them all white with a faux/patent leather white seat for easy cleaning! I may even add a few decorative tacks along the edge of the seat area!

I'm ALSO still wondering if I should keep the table....what do you think???

On another note,  I may be MOVING within the next couple months (crossing fingers), so hopefully this AWFUL rug you see in the pic....will NOT be where this table ends up & the clustered frames on the wall, will be changed to something else!  New place, new decor!

Jenna Lyon's Townhouse....(My Dream Home)

I know you've all seen Jenna Lyon's townhouse about a MILLION TIMES. It's been featured in several magazine like Living Etc. and on a ton of blogs. Jenna's home is probably my all time favorite home that I've seen online. It's creative, not outrageously LARGE, and it's a townhouse (very much my style). I'm really drawn to the dark wood floors, the empire chandeliers as well as her choice of furniture and rug styles. Her home was designed by Leveson McDavid Architects.

Thanks to Jenna for her inspirational digs!

Above: my favorite room in her home is this living room. I really like the faux fur against the dark chairs and the bright yellow 2 seater lends a perfect pop of color to this space! Let's NOT forget the amazing chandelier...this definitely adds a touch of glam along with the zebra skin rug.

Above: The fact that you can see straight through her home from end-to-end is just stunning! That is why I adore town homes.

Above: Let's get something straight here....how many of you have an ENTIRE room for a closet??!? Probably not many of us. Perhaps this is why we can't get enough of her closet room. It's like a DREAM come true!!!!

Above: One of the cutest and most daring nurseries I've seen online. The part that stands out the most are the STRIPES on the ceiling. I also loved the two back to back faux furs on the floor for a soft and furry feel!

Nuevo Estilo....

Nuevo Estilo is a great source for inspiration for your home. It's a Spanish magazine but nonetheless has plenty of large images for you to look through. This particular home was very intriguing and decorated quite beautifully. I like the modern feel and especially loved the purple velvet touches in the bedroom. In this particular bedroom the curtain is the divider instead of a door. Normally, I do NOT like purple, but it looks great in this setting!

Check out their site for more beautiful images.

My Latest ZGallerie Purchases...

I went by ZGallerie this past weekend and bought the saber tooth tiger skull (of course it's not real) as well as a few of the crystal perfume bottles.  I like the idea of having one or two unexpected items in my home. And how about these cool Biscayne coaster set? I had to get these because my coffee table desperately needed them! Also, while at ZGallerie there were two pieces of artwork that I wanted (but didn't end up buying).

This colorful piece (Collective) by Jodi Fuchs & of course my favorite, Butterflies in Flight 2  by Jennifer Goldberger.  I hope to be back to buy at least one of those art pieces.... I just haven't made up my mind if I want to SPEND the $299......YET!

BOLIG Magazine....not all white walls

Hello everyone! So.....I saw this home via Bolig Magazine & instantly thought, "wow a foreign home with more than a couple dark walls....interesting!"  I usually see lots of white in foreign magazines, white walls, white floors and white furniture. I like the few dark walls throughout this home, gives it a more modern edge. Via Bolig.
